Design Approach

I began my research for their new identity by creating a mood board made up of imagery related to nature,

technology, and machinery. I collected various stock images of these topics as well as related ones. Using

my mood board, I came up with a preferred color palette and created around twenty different logo
concepts.

I approached narrowing down my logo concepts by looking at them each in the
perspective of the LeafLink company: which logo best represents our mission?
I also looked at each logo without the LeafLink text to determine which ones
stood by themselves and could be easily recognizable as "oh, that's LeafLink".
With these strategies I narrowed my concepts down to one logo, and refined it.
I added more natural colors and a welcoming typeface. This became my
submission to the LeafLink company.

I delivered a brand identity that represents all of LeafLink's core values: technology, nature, and the potential

link between it. I developed guidelines for this branding as well that go over the logo's message, color,

typography, usage, and mockups.

Developed a brand identity and guidelines for a fictional technology company heavily focused on the link between
environmental developments and machinery. The brand identity aims to discover the balance between visual
elements seen in the natural world and ones seen in technological aesthetics. The identity strikes a balance
between the two, communicating the brand’s focus.
